Revive Retreat is for all the therapists and healers who do the hard work of creating compassionate space for others, caring about the stories, making sure you are doing the work right, staying abreast of all the options for best practices, and still try to maintain a life outside of the work. Join me for a day in the country that is specifically designed for you to be intentional about how you do this work; to reflect on how you are caring for yourself; and, to celebrate the wins that so often get overshadowed by the long lists of things left to do.
First Friday is a small, online group of women focusing on an issue that the group collectively believes is relevant to learning to live intentionally as a woman of faith. If you are looking for more or want to brush up on your skills, this group is free and once a month. We cover topics such as, “Responding Instead of Reacting”, “Tenderness and Kindness with Self (and Others)”, and “Perfectionism”.
This 1.5 hour workshop incorporates the horse and a space for practicing restorative yoga. We will spend time doing traditional, gentle yoga and hanging out with the herd. Refresh your mind and body – a mini retreat and a fresh playful perspective. This course includes beginner level yoga and is non-mounted, requiring no horsemanship skills. All you need are comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes, and an open heart.
EAST is a unique program that is a collaboration between Charlotte, the Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center (formally The Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center), and Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, a PATH, Int. Premier Center, in Lexington, KY.
The EAST Group combines psychoeducation and equine assisted activities to address symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues common for survivors of sexual trauma. This is a non-mounted group and participants do not need any prior horse experience. The environment and the horse partnership allow participants to build self-awareness, learn new life skills, and practice those skills in a safe, nonjudgmental, non-critical environment. The horse/human partnership provides in-the-moment experience that improves coping and relationship skills, and enhances overall quality of life.
Join me for a Christmas Devotional Experience. God was in every detail of that journey to Bethlehem and He is in every detail of your journey. In the activity, stress, and expectation of the holiday season, do you need to remember that? Join us for a truly unique opportunity to step away and breathe deeply in the midst of the journey to that night in Bethlehem.
This is a non-mounted equine activity. Our time will be spent with our beautiful horses: reflecting, and listening to the songs and the sounds of the season, the animals and the barn.
